Reinsurance and Coinsurance Solutions Development Technician

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Vocational Training).
• English B2.
• Knowledge of software development in Oracle, Java, and SQL.
• Cloud, Python, and MongoDB knowledge will be valued.
• Previous experience working in the Insurance business, Ceded and Accepted Reinsurance, Proportional and Non-Proportional, as well as knowledge of the Reinsurance contract business (Quota Share, Surplus, Facultative, and XL) will be valued.
• Desirable knowledge of accounting (SAP), Batch Processes, Technical Accounts, Current Accounts, Remittances, and account reconciliation with Reinsurers, Reinsurance Brokers, and Coinsurers.
• Previous experience in collaborative work with other developers.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems and think creatively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Availability to travel due to implementation needs outside of Spain.
• Availability for occasional on-call shifts in order to provide support to countries with different time zones.

• Perform requirements gathering: Orientation, Obtaining, and Documenting user business requirements.
• Perform functional analysis within the reinsurance / coinsurance scope for processes regarding cessions, issuance, benefits, receipts, and monthly closing.
• Perform functional and technical certification of software deliveries made by providers.
• Collaborate with other teams to define system requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
• Control the development cycle, managing the different phases until deployment.
• Provide support and assistance to the business for the evolutionary and corrective maintenance of the application.
