AI Engineer

• Between 1 and 3 years of experience developing and deploying software in production environments, ideally related to Artificial Intelligence.

• Good command of Python, developing clean, structured, and tested code.

• Experience working with databases, especially PostgreSQL, including schema design and optimization.

• Practical knowledge in LLMs, especially retrieval, agents, and evaluation.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or similar disciplines.

• Ability to communicate with technical and business profiles, understand their needs, and clearly explain the solutions developed.

• An autonomous, problem-solving profile that is comfortable working in environments where it is necessary to face new problems.

• Fluent level of Spanish and English.

At Paul Marlex, we are collaborating with a tech startup that is developing an Artificial Intelligence data platform oriented towards R&D teams in sectors such as flavors and fragrances, food and beverages, cosmetics, personal care, and specialty chemicals.

We are currently looking to hire an AI Engineer (Junior-Mid) to join their technical team in Barcelona.

You will work jointly with technical and R&D teams to understand their processes, convert their needs into technological solutions, and transfer the learnings obtained to the product. It is, therefore, a hybrid position between product development, AI engineering, and direct work with the client.

• Work on the ingestion, processing, and structuring of data from different sources.

• Develop platform components and integrations with systems such as ERP, LIMS, and PLM.

• Work with PostgreSQL, vector search, agents, and Machine Learning models.

• Participate in the development of specific modules related to data analysis, formulation optimization, and regulatory systems.

• Participate directly in the deployment of the platform at client sites, working jointly with their technical teams.

• Present and defend developed solutions to business stakeholders and technical profiles.

• Dedicate approximately 10% of your time to research and exploration of new technologies.
