We are looking for a Business Developer for an AI startup in Barcelona 🚀

At Paul Marlex, we are collaborating with a Barcelona-based startup in a full growth phase that is looking to incorporate a Business Developer into its go-to-market team.

The company builds an AI data platform for R&D teams in formulation industries: flavors and fragrances, food and beverages, cosmetics, personal and home care, and specialty chemicals. They take decades of laboratory data, Excels, and regulatory documentation, and convert them into a tool that accelerates formulation and analysis.

The role You will join the commercial team at a key moment: you will be one of the people growing the company's presence within the R&D departments of these sectors. You will manage relationships and opportunities from start to finish, from the first conversation to the close, and you will grow with the company as it opens new markets and verticals and expands the team.

• What you will do Prospect and open conversations with R&D, quality, and regulatory managers.
• Manage full sales cycles: from qualification to closing.
• Explain in detail and with rigor how the platform works: what data it structures, how it integrates with their systems, and what the AI does.
• Prepare demos and materials by vertical alongside the technical team.
• Convert what you learn in the field into product priorities.
• Contribute to improving our commercial playbook and to the expansion into new markets and verticals.
