What we're looking for

Previous experience in financial administration, billing, collections management, Accounts Receivable, or similar functions.
Good communication skills and customer orientation.
Analytical capacity to investigate issues and resolve payment discrepancies.
Organized, proactive, and decisive person with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team.

Nice to have

Experience in customer account management and payment collection.
Knowledge of account reconciliation and payment application.
Experience with ERP systems or financial management tools, especially SAP or Oracle.
Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
Experience in international environments.

The role

At Marlex, we are collaborating with an international company in the search for a Billing and Collections Administrator to join their finance team in Barcelona.

The selected person will be responsible for managing customer accounts, monitoring outstanding invoices, and resolving issues related to collections, working in an international environment.

What you'll do

Manage a client portfolio and handle inquiries related to billing and payments.
Provide information regarding account status, send copies of invoices, and provide contractual documentation when necessary.
Monitor and claim outstanding invoices via telephone and email.
Investigate unidentified payments and request the necessary information to allocate them correctly.
Review and resolve discrepancies between payments received and the corresponding invoices.
Record and apply payments to the corresponding invoices using internal systems.
Manage adjustments and returns when appropriate.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and contribute to the improvement of internal processes.
