The role

An important company in the distribution sector located in the Polígono del Mayorazgo (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) is looking for an Operations Director. The selected candidate must, in addition to mastering accounting, have real experience in the actual operations of procurement, stock management, and logistics. Knowledge of SAGE 50 and experience managing teams is valued.

What you'll do

Accounting and Record Keeping: Recording supplier invoices, credit card expenses, and supervising purchase and sales billing cycles.
Treasury and Reconciliation: Daily bank reconciliation and strict control of cash and check income.
Active Collection Management: Follow-up on pending invoices, direct debit of receipts, direct contact with clients for debt collection, and coordination with the commercial team for collection logistics.
Payment Management: Control of supplier due dates, preparation of payment proposals, and execution of transfers or direct debits authorized by Management.
Settlement of Operations: On-site cash counting of delivery routes and reconciliation of cash with delivery drivers.
Monthly Closing: Invoicing of delivery notes, sending invoices to clients, treasury closing, and profit and loss account.
Liaison with Agencies and Advisors: Direct communication with public administrations and coordination with external advisors (tax, labor, data protection, etc.).
Support to Management: Direct administrative support and preparation of financial statements ready for management review.

Summary

At least 5-8 years of prior professional experience in similar positions
Experience in the distribution sector.
