Quality Manager - Food Industry

The selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

• University degree related to the food industry: Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Technical Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, or similar.
• Previous experience as a Quality Manager or a similar position within the food sector.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP, IFS, BRC, organic certifications, and quality audits.
• Professional level of English, both oral and written.
• Profile with decision-making capacity, leadership, and team management skills.
• Person oriented towards continuous improvement, with a practical approach and a regular presence on the plant floor.
• Ability to work transversally with different departments and to manage relationships with clients and external bodies.

• Certification or knowledge in PCQI is valued.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to lead the comprehensive management of quality and food safety in an industrial plant within the food sector, guaranteeing the maintenance and evolution of a consolidated quality system. The selected person will manage the quality and laboratory team, acting as a key interlocutor with clients, official bodies, and audits.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Lead the comprehensive management of the Quality and Food Safety area of the plant.
• Define, implement, and monitor objectives, action plans, and quality indicators.
• Plan, supervise, and control activities related to HACCP and associated support plans.
• Guarantee compliance and maintenance of food safety standards and IFS, BRC, organic certifications, and other applicable requirements.
• Act as the leader of the HACCP team and promote the food safety culture.
• Direct and develop the Quality and Laboratory team.
• Manage complaints, incidents, and technical requirements from clients.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, as well as inspections from official bodies and certifying entities.
• Participate in the plant's operational decision-making, providing technical vision and a practical approach.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and production centers on new developments and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards for raw materials and finished products.
• Manage Food Defense and PCQI programs.
