Senior Backend Architect

We would like to find someone who has:

• 10+ years of experience executing projects in production environments.
• A solid foundation in backend development, especially with Java and/or Python.
• Real experience in microservices architecture and development.
• Mastery of design patterns, best practices, and testing.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and system communication solutions.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging brokers and event-driven architectures (EDA).
• Knowledge and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud and the main components of a project ecosystem: infrastructure, DevOps, data, development, etc.
• Experience with containers and CI/CD, within a DevOps culture.
• Ability to quickly understand a context and adapt to new or little-known technologies.
• Very good communication skills to work with clients, technical teams, project management, and the business.

At Paradigma, we are looking for a Senior Backend Architect with extensive experience in project execution, capable of moving between architecture and the field to support our teams and clients through technological challenges of various natures.

We are looking for someone with 10+ years of experience, technical judgment, and a global vision, who does not want to move away from the hands-on world. A person who enjoys facing different contexts, quickly understanding the needs of each project, making decisions, and providing solutions from both a technical and business perspective.

Here, you will not have a single project or a closed technology stack. You will participate in different initiatives, clients, and teams, especially during key moments such as project kick-offs and the definition of their technical foundations.

Your day-to-day will be very varied. Some of your main responsibilities will be:

• You will be a technical reference in projects

You will be a reference figure for the teams, providing judgment and technical guidance in decisions regarding architecture, development, and the evolution of solutions.

You will work closely with development teams, helping them make technical decisions and ensuring that solutions follow best practices and appropriate architectural criteria.

• You will help kick off projects with solid technical foundations

You will participate in the beginnings of projects and in Sprint 0, helping to define architectures, best practices, development standards, the use of AI, and technical consensus to allow the team to move forward with certainty.

• You will remain hands-on

We are not looking for someone who limits themselves to making diagrams. You will participate in the implementation of solutions, from development and PoCs to generic and complex solutions, especially in the initial phases of projects or when it is necessary to provide technical expertise.

• You will build Paradigma's technological foundations

You will work on defining development guidelines, reference architectures, and archetypes that help our teams start projects more quickly and consistently.

Additionally, you will identify reusable solutions and components from our projects to incorporate them into our asset catalog.

• You will share knowledge

We like to learn and share. You will participate in communities of practice, talks, articles, and other initiatives to spread best practices and new technologies throughout the company.

• You will have contact with clients and the business

You will participate in technical assessments, reviewing systems, architectures, and developments to identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions.

You will also collaborate in pre-sales, providing estimates, reviewing efforts and profiles, and bringing your experience from previous projects to the table.

• You will help grow the team

You will participate in technical interviews and in the evaluation of profiles to continue incorporating technical talent into Paradigma.
