Reconciliations: Performing bank and account reconciliations to ensure internal records match external statements and the financial reality.
Preparation and Analysis of Financial Statements
Annual Accounts: Preparing the key financial statements at year-end (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account, Statement of Changes in Equity, and Notes to the Financial Statements).
Reporting: Generating periodic financial reports for client management or executives, helping them understand the economic situation.
Analysis: Interpreting results to identify trends, areas for improvement, and financial risks.
Management and Compliance with Tax Obligations
Tax Filing: Calculating, preparing, and submitting periodic tax returns (VAT, Personal Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, withholdings, etc.).
Tax Planning: Advising clients on the best strategies to optimize their tax burden within the legal framework (if the firm offers this service).
Handling Inquiries: Responding to and managing inquiries or inspections from the Tax Administration.
Accounting and Financial Advisory
Consulting: Providing expert guidance on accounting regulations (e.g., the General Accounting Plan in Spain), valuation criteria, and management of assets/liabilities.
Business Decisions: Helping clients make informed decisions based on accounting data, such as the viability of investments, budgets, or cost structures.
Management of Year-End Closings and Audits
Year-End Closing: Executing the annual closing process, including necessary adjustments (depreciation, provisions, accruals, etc.).
Audit Support: Providing the necessary documentation and support in the event of an external audit for the client.
Regulatory and Legal Updates
Continuous Learning: Staying up to date on the constant changes in accounting, commercial, and tax legislation to ensure clients comply with all current regulations.
