What profile are we looking for?

Training and Knowledge

• Mining Engineering, equivalent experience or knowledge recognized by the

company, supplemented by specific studies and/or extensive experience.

• Knowledge of Vulcan and AutoCAD software.
• Other mining software, for example, blast management (JK Simblast), would be

desirable.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in an operational management and mining planning role.
• Experience in open-pit mining is considered an essential requirement. Experience in underground mining is desirable.

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing Mine Production Plans and monitoring their execution and compliance levels. Their main mission is to optimize and plan the development of mining operations in the short, medium, and long term (tactical and operational levels) with concrete scenarios that ensure the fulfillment of the objectives set by Management.

Main responsibilities

• Develop plans and budgets for mining operations, including restoration and closure activities. Monitor compliance with said plans and develop contingency plans to correct possible deviations (forecast).
• Develop short, medium, and long-term planning for the waste reprocessing project.
• Prepare the ore/tailings feed Plan in coordination with Process Control (Plant) and Grade Control (Geology).
• Develop designs for the mining exploitation, its waste rock dumps, and non-inert waste management facilities (mine and plant).
• Develop sustainable execution plans for waste rock dumps and non-inert waste disposal facilities (emptying plans), combining preventive, geotechnical, operational, administrative/legal compliance, and cost control criteria in both material segregation and the stability of their development and execution flexibility.
• Prepare accurate information for the presentation of the Annual Work Plan to the Mining Administration.
• Develop and re-evaluate restoration designs using the best available techniques for improved sustainability, durability, and diversity.
• Develop and integrate restorations for any area affected by Mining activity, plan earthmoving flows that optimize the management of topsoil economically and in quality, and geomorphological geometries that ensure effective and sustainable performance in geological time.
• Develop management plans for ore stocks and inventories. Define strategies that protect the resource or potential resource.
• Develop models for mining potential resources.
