What we're looking for

Proven, demonstrable experience in developing advanced Excel models and VBA programming.
Specialist in auditing and optimizing legacy applications based on spreadsheets.
Proven experience managing complex data flows and integrations with external systems.
Ability to quickly grasp business-critical calculation models.
Analytical skills for producing high-quality technical documentation.
Fluent English (both written and spoken), as the project environment and stakeholders are international.

Nice to have

Previous experience in projects involving the replacement or migration of Excel/VBA to scalable enterprise applications.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem tools: Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or Microsoft Dynamics.

At RDT we have a spot for you in our Center of Technological Excellence to join one of our most international teams, working 100% in English and remotely.

🤝 We are expanding our team with a Senior VBA Consultant/Developer with an analytical mindset and strategic vision to lead the diagnosis and modernization phase of a highly complex pricing model based on Excel. The current system has been inherited from MAN, includes integrations with German source systems, and requires a deep technical audit. We are talking about understanding the current architecture, cleaning up redundant code, and charting a clear roadmap toward more scalable technologies.

What you'll do

Technical Audit: Thoroughly review the existing Excel model and conduct a comprehensive analysis of the VBA code to identify inactive, redundant, or critical functions.
Data Mapping: Identify and document data flows, dependencies, and connections with the German source systems.
Functional Analysis: Gain a deep understanding of the business logic behind the current pricing calculations.
Risk Assessment: Identify bottlenecks, operational risks, and maintenance or scalability issues.
Strategic Consulting: Prepare a technical report with recommendations and design a roadmap to optimize, improve, or migrate the current solution.
Communication: Translate complex technical findings into clear conclusions for business and IT stakeholders.
