What we're looking for
Knowledge in hazardous area classification, SCE/PS, EERA, FERA and other loss prevention and risk assessment analyses.
Knowledge of technical safety design regulations and standards, such as NFPA, EPA, NIOSH, IP, ISO, ASME, API, etc.
Experience in fire safety design in Oil & Gas and/or Power Plant projects, in both onshore and offshore facilities. Experience in brownfield projects will be especially valued.
Demonstrable experience in Physical Effects Modeling and Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA), as well as experience with software such as PHAST, FLARESIM, ALOHA, EFFECTS, EXsilentia or similar.
Languages
High level of English.

Technical Safety Engineer
What you'll do
Preparation and review of documentation and deliverables related to Technical Safety and Environment, including, but not limited to: HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Management Plans, HSE philosophies/specifications, studies and reviews, HAZOP management and review, SIL determination, hazardous area classification, consequence analysis, BAT/ALARP studies, QRA, FESA, COMAH, noise specifications, noise report management, emission modeling reports, flare assessment (distances, emissions and radiation), HSE action tracking management, impact and emission calculations and safety equipment specification.
Participation in numerous workshops as a Technical Safety and Environment Engineer, providing advice on technical safety aspects and issues in HAZOP, HAZID, 3D model reviews, HFE reviews, construction HAZID, among others.
Ensuring compliance with international and country-specific legal requirements.
Facilitating and leading HAZOP, HAZID, SIL determination, ALARP and ERP workshops, among others.
Performing radiation and dispersion modeling using Flaresim software (or similar software), as well as reviewing and utilizing the simulations and analyses obtained.
Reviewing documentation prepared by the various disciplines.
Monitoring the man-hour budget, preparing weekly work planning and updating project progress.
Ensuring that the schedule and deliverables meet the required quality standards and that actions are managed appropriately.
Preparing specifications, RFI/RFP and TBE for equipment and elements related to technical safety.
