We are looking for someone with:

Higher Vocational Training or equivalent studies in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related areas.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Organizational and planning skills.
Attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
Good level of Spanish
In addition to a solid analytical capacity, we are looking for a very practical person who enjoys working on the ground and has no problem performing their activities both in the field and in the greenhouse.
Close collaboration with farm teams to ensure the correct development of the work

The role

We invite you to submit your application for a vacancy as Assistant Breeding Lettuce at our Cartagena (Murcia) station.

Within the Breeding department of Rijk Zwaan, we work on the development of new varieties adapted to different climatic conditions. As an Assistant Breeding, you will actively participate in practical plant breeding tasks, performing your work mainly in the greenhouse and open field.

Your main responsibilities include

Sowing of trials and breeding materials.
Performing crosses and pollinations.
Collection of plant material and seeds.
Logistical management of seeds.
Recording and reporting of results in our breeding administration system.
