The role

Would you like to lead an agricultural research station in Cartagena with a direct impact on the development of new horticultural varieties? We are looking for a Station Manager with experience in outdoor cultivation or the seed sector, who combines strategic vision with a strong orientation toward operational management.

What you'll do

As Station Manager, you will be co-responsible for the implementation, management, and integral development of the R&D station in Cartagena, ensuring the correct execution of trials and the optimization of crops. The role combines technical leadership, team management, and operational responsibility over the experimental farm.

Additionally, you will assume responsibility for managing machinery rentals, coordinating relationships with suppliers, and leading the hiring of support staff for the execution of various agricultural activities. Priority crops include lettuce, brassicas, pepper, endive, and fennel.

Lead the management of the station (infrastructure, crops, and human resources).
Responsible for driving strategic and investment projects for the continuous development and improvement of the farm.
Coordinate the planning and execution of trials in collaboration with research and breeding teams.
Ensure the correct development of priority crops (lettuce, brassicas, pepper, endive, and fennel).
Manage suppliers, machinery, and technical resources necessary for operations.
Lead, motivate, and develop the technical and operational team, guaranteeing efficiency and a good working environment.
Guarantee compliance with quality, safety, and traceability standards in field activities.
Drive continuous process improvement and the operational efficiency of the station.
