What we're looking for
- Be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Biotechnology, Biology, Plant Genetics, or related degrees.
- Interest in plant genetic improvement, agriculture, and tomato cultivation.

To support this mission, the Vegetable Seeds Breeding team is looking to incorporate an intern for Breeding – Tomato in El Ejido. This position will contribute to the evaluation and improvement of tomato varieties through trial monitoring, rigorous data collection, and collaboration with the genetic improvement team.
What you'll do
- During the internship, you will actively participate in the activities of the Breeding team:
- You will monitor tomato crops in the field and/or greenhouse, learning the practices and techniques used in plant breeding programs.
- You will collect, record, and organize qualitative and quantitative data in line and hybrid trials.
- You will collaborate in the data collection of agronomic and commercially interesting characteristics.
- You will participate in the collection of information from PLC4 F1 hybrids to support the identification of genetic combinations with high potential.
- You will work with professionals specialized in plant genetics, in a practical, collaborative, and innovative environment.
How you'll work
- Working day: 5 hours daily, with flexible hours in coordination with the team and academic availability.
- Duration: 6 months.
- Paid internship: 600€ (25h per week)
