The role
What you'll do
Design and Detail Engineering (FFS):
- Drafting of technical projects and specifications for FFS installations (extinguishing systems, fire water networks, sprinklers, foam/mist systems, fire and gas detection).
- Performing hydraulic calculations, equipment definition, bills of materials, and data sheets.
Industrial Safety / Process Safety:
- Hazardous area classification (ATEX directives, API 500 / API 505).
- Specification of passive fire protection and flame retardancy (API 2218) and fire compartmentation.
- Participation and integration in risk / hazard analysis studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, SIL).
Integration with Processes:
- Review and marking of P&ID diagrams for safety/FFS requirements.
- Performing dispersion or radiation studies, or safety / flare valve calculations if applicable (e.g., PHAST, FlareSim).
Requirements
- Must have a Degree or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Seniority levels preferably exceeding 10 years in industrial/process engineering design.
- Knowledge of: National regulations (RSCIEI, RIPCI, CTE) / International standards (NFPA, API, ATEX, IEC).
- Proficiency in hydraulic calculation tools and simulations (e.g., AFT Fathom, HASS, PHAST, PHAWorks or similar).
- Interpretation and handling of plans/P&ID in AutoCAD environment / 3D tools (E3D is valued)
