What we're looking for

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering and/or Industrial engineering
Experience in similar or related positions (7-10 years), preferably in space and/or defense environments.
Solid background in space and/or defence normative and standards.
Good knowledge on avionics related disciplines: GNC, HW, SW, FPGA...
System-level thinking and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to understand high level problems and decomposing them into affordable technical challenges and activities.
Ability to work across different abstraction levels, from system-level requirements and operational concepts down to subsystem integration and verification activities, identifying dependencies, interfaces, and critical technical risks.
Good interpersonal skills, team player.
Interest for related engineering fields (AOCS, HW, SW), related know-how, including IA.
Proactive and good problem solving capability.
Capable of presenting the outcomes of the work carried out in a clear way

The role

Sener Aerospace and Defence is currently looking for Avionics AIV Senior Engineer at our work centre in Madrid (Tres Cantos).

We are a pioneering engineering company in the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In defence, we design and produce equipment and systems, including unmanned systems. Our passion for precision has made us a trusted partner of leading space agencies, government agencies and companies.

What you'll do

Lead an avionics or GNC system AIV activities: AIV plans, definition of SCOEs and EGSEs, coordinating AIT engineering with design phases activities, ensuring coherence between design, system components integration process and final validation and verification activities.
Close collaboration with the different stakeholders to define the main AIT contributions to system integration and testing activities ensuring all mission goals are being approached from early stages.
Requirements assessing, discussion and analysis towards V&V activities.
Contributions to design phases (typically phases B & C), by identification of needs (technical and programmatic) coming from AIT activities.
Preparing integration activities: tasks flow, schedule, instrumentation, tools, facilities, plans and procedures.
Integration/verification facilities identification and definition, including specifications of the different components.
Interaction with customer for the related activities
Coordination with the different stakeholders (System, AOCS/GNC, SW, HW engineers) for the complete AIT process.
Other contributions: proposals, internal know-how...
