What we expect from you

Education in Electronic, Industrial, or Telecommunications Engineering.
Advanced level of English.
At least 2 years of experience in the position in: PC application development (GUI, frontend and backend).
Skills for object-oriented programming in C++, Python, or similar language.
Knowledge of operating systems. And knowledge of the following will be valued:

Nice to have

Robotics, sensors and motors
Serial communication buses: RS-232/485/422, USB, SPI, I2C, Modbus, Visa, CAN bus or similar
Process automation
Python scripting
Unit testing, integration and continuous development
Code version control and BUG tracking tools

The role

At Sener, we wish to incorporate into our team a Junior SW Developer for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSEs) for our Electromechanical Systems (SEM) division in Madrid (Tres Cantos).

We are an engineering company pioneering the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In Defense, we tackle the design and production of equipment and systems, including unmanned ones. The Electromechanical Systems (SEM) division has been one of the leading providers of electromechanical systems for the world's major space agencies (NASA, ESA, JAXA, and Roscosmos) since 1995.

What you'll do

What you will do

You will be part of the multidisciplinary team (hardware, software, and mechanics) that develops the equipment used to test the control electronics and mechanisms of antenna pointing systems, robotic couplings and anchors, telescope focusing and scanning systems, among others. Carrying out the following tasks:

Analyze team requirements
Develop new application software for PC
Maintain existing SW, adding new functionalities and fixing errors
Development and management of source code under Git version control
Set up and validate the application software for test equipment for certification or production campaigns.
Definition of SW validation procedures
