Junior R&D Project Leader - Cement-Based Products

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• A master's degree in construction materials, cement chemistry, or project management will be valued.

• Spanish (native or advanced).
• Technical English (ability to read technical data sheets, standards, and communicate with suppliers).

We are looking for a Junior R&D Project Leader for Cementitious Products to join our Research and Development team.

The position is aimed at recent graduates or professionals with 1-2 years of experience or internships, who wish to develop professionally in industrial R&D, participating in projects involving the formulation, testing, and improvement of cementitious products (adhesives, mortars, renders, repair systems).

The Project Leader will be integrated into the R&D team, interacting with other departments such as production, quality, purchasing, marketing, and the commercial network, ensuring that products are developed in accordance with technical, regulatory, cost, and market requirements.

• Lead development and reformulation projects for cementitious adhesives, facade mortars, cement-based products, renders, and repair solutions.
• Develop formulations and manage laboratory testing according to standards (EN 12004, EN 998, EN 1504, etc.).
• Coordinate industrial trials and scale-up together with production.
• Analyze raw materials, evaluate suppliers, and propose technical or economic alternatives.
• Document developments, write technical reports, and product specifications.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to identify market needs and translate demands into technical solutions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in external certifications when applicable (e.g., CE, technical assessments).
• Ensure knowledge transfer to plants, technical teams, and the commercial network.

• 1-2 years of experience in formulation or development of construction chemical products, preferably cementitious products (adhesives, mortars, renders, repair systems, self-leveling compounds…).
• Previous experience managing or participating in technical project management (not necessarily as a Project Leader, but in roles with technical responsibility).

• Knowledge of additives, cements, mineral fillers, and cement chemistry.
• Ability to design formulations and analyze results.
