We are looking for a baker with solid experience in a workshop or artisanal bakery, ideally with experience in pastry or enriched doughs.

A high capacity for rigor and process discipline is essential: the brand works with a standardized recipe and method, and we need someone capable of repeating the same result batch after batch, without leaving consistency to chance.

As this is a position for a single baker per shift, who manages the entire daily production cycle alone, organizational capacity and autonomy are essential, as well as availability to work weekends, which concentrate the premises' heaviest workload.

We value a detail-oriented and proactive profile, comfortable working facing the public since the workshop is visible from the dining area.

Nice to have

Finally, this is an opportunity to be part of the founding team of Street Smash Burgers' first in-house workshop, with the possibility of assuming a leadership role if the model extends to new openings.

The role

Smash burger specialists, with stores in Portugal, Italy, and Switzerland, we have already paved our way through the streets of Madrid with Street: a unique gastronomic experience that combines street energy with the authenticity of our burgers. We are crazy about quality, and that is why the kitchen is not just a functional space, but part of the dining area, where customers can see and experience the entire preparation process. Enjoy them at our venue, to go, or via delivery.

JOB MISSION.

The Bakery Workshop Baker is responsible for the daily production of the bread served in the restaurant, within the workshop integrated into the premises itself. Their mission is to guarantee the quality, consistency, and freshness of the product in every batch, complying with the standards and processes defined by Street Smash Burgers.

Quality and Consistency.

  • Guaranteeing that every piece meets the quality standards defined by the brand.

  • Identification and correction of possible deviations in the process.

Customer Experience.

  • The workshop is visible from the restaurant dining area: always keep the workstation and the image of the process well-maintained.

  • Timely attention to customer curiosity regarding the process, when applicable.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.

  • Coordination with kitchen and floor staff to adjust the production pace to service demand.

  • Participation in initial training and in the process setup prior to the premises opening.

  • Proposing process improvements once daily production has stabilized.

  • Possible support in training new bakers if the workshop model extends to future openings.

How you'll work

  • Permanent contract with a 1-month probationary period

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week (rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays).

  • Applicable agreement: Collective bargaining agreement for hospitality in the Community of Madrid.
