What do we expect from you?

We are looking for someone committed, action-oriented, a problem solver, with excellent relationship skills, who pays attention to detail and is willing to explore the opportunities and challenges that the position entails.

Education and work experience:

Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field, or Vocational Training, accompanied by extensive experience.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in similar positions in continuous production, food and beverage processes.
A solid track record of effective leadership, management, and/or supervision.

Nice to have

Knowledge of food technology and the manufacturing process will be especially valued.

Preferred skills:

Leadership capacity and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask while maintaining excellent organizational skills.
IT skills.
Communication skills (both oral and written).
High motivation with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated commitment to the achievement of organizational and personal goals.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment (colleagues, suppliers, etc.).

The role

The purpose of this position is to provide effective leadership and supervision at all times over all activities, human and material resources, and processes to ensure the optimization of shift production with the highest efficiency.

Functions

What you'll do

Evaluate the material and human requirements necessary during the shift by submitting requests to provide for any detected shortages.
Assign people to the different lines to achieve the production objectives established for the shift.
Guarantee compliance with food safety, quality, environmental, and production process hygiene standards, guides, and guidelines, as well as those relating to the environment.
Facilitate an effective and coordinated teamwork dynamic in relation to the activities to be performed by providing the necessary information to people and facilitating communication between them.
Maintain discipline in the plant by collecting observations or complaints made to you by the people on the shift.
Resolve conflicts that may arise or report them to the production manager and/or the human resources - people department.
Guarantee and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with prevention, safety, and occupational health standards and guidelines, especially regarding compliance with the use of required personal protective equipment.
Detect training and development needs for the people assigned to your shift and communicate them to the production manager.
Prepare and send required production shift reports with precision and reliability.
Propose quantitative and qualitative improvements and collaborate with those carrying out continuous improvement in the optimization of production processes.
Exercise company representation if the corresponding managers are not present during the shift.
