Production Shift Manager - Food Industry

We are looking for a profile with an Engineering background and experience in production management to join a multinational food industry company based in the outskirts of Logroño as a Shift Manager, with a management role and participation in the management and improvement of an important factory.

Reporting to the Factory Management, the selected person will be responsible for directing and supervising the technical and human resources at their disposal during their assigned shift (Monday to Saturday, Night shift), with the aim of optimizing production results and meeting safety, quality, cost, and efficiency objectives.

To this end, their main functions will be:

• Ensuring compliance with the Manufacturing Plan in all its aspects, communicating any positive or negative deviations that occur during their shift to Management and the Plant Planner)
• Performing the shift checklist and incident list from startup to identify issues throughout the shift, ensuring the correct preparation of lines for the incoming shift, and optimizing line startups and shutdowns when necessary
• Coordination with the rest of the departments to achieve the set objectives, participating actively in meetings and improvement projects that involve them
• Management of the personnel under their charge, their performance, training, communication, and motivation, generating multi-skilling and a demanding and collaborative work environment
• Performing their work in accordance with the ERP, especially in the daily report, ensuring that the information entered into the system is correct for the reality of the report
• Leading the meeting together with maintenance and the process coordinator, collaborating in the creation of work standards and training the rest of the team, communicating the need to not meet work standards, with a clear explanation of the actions taken and a proposal for adjustment when applicable
• Leading the improvement projects that may be assigned to them and coordinating the project team to achieve results
• Supervising and controlling the correct state of order and cleanliness of the facilities during their work shift, coordinating the necessary actions to minimize the handover to the next shift
• Participation in weekly quality audits.
• Communication and investigation of quality incidents occurring during their shift, providing as much information as possible and cooperating in the investigations carried out to reach the root cause
• Developing a work environment that encourages compliance with quality standards.
• Participating actively when requested in RCA meetings

• Leading multinational company in the food sector
• Responsibility position in a 3-shift factory (Night shift, Monday to Saturday)

• Training in Engineering or similar
• Relevant experience in similar positions in an industrial environment, ideally with experience in team management in the food industry
• Problem-solving profile, with a desire to learn and evolve, communication and people management skills, and an orientation toward improvement
• Availability to work daily in the outskirts of Logroño
