•Define the staffing required for the Department, based on the requirements and forecasts received from the different Degree Coordinations and/or Area Vice-Deans.

•Supervise the onboarding of new teaching staff in the Department, in accordance with the General Process defined by the Human Resources Department, providing new hires with the resources and information necessary to properly perform their duties.
•Define individual objectives and the development plan for the teaching staff, in accordance with the common model followed by the University, in order to maximize their contribution to the Faculty and corporate goals, and ensure their professional growth.
•Assign complementary activities and initiatives to the teaching of the corresponding subjects, based on the profile of each faculty member and with the aim of meeting the Department's goals.
•Continuously monitor the performance of the teaching staff under their supervision, including the two formal milestones (mid-year and year-end review), providing individual feedback that allows for redirecting objectives and offering guidance to team members.
•Conduct the salary review of the members of their team, allocating the available budget in order to establish meritocracy and ensure internal equity within the Department.
•Analyze all available information on the level of student satisfaction with the teaching delivered by the Department, from formal surveys to incidents raised through the faculty members themselves or through academic or degree coordinators.
•Resolve, in collaboration with the corresponding Department, any incident arising with the teaching staff under their supervision.
