What you'll get

Hands-on training in business development, cold calling, discovery calls, HubSpot and Apollo, plus close mentorship from your Internship Placement Manager and Regional Placement Lead. You'll finish with a clear track record of leads created, companies converted and placements supported, a reference at the end of your contract, and a path into Internship Placement Manager roles for strong performers.

The role

Want to build commercial experience by doing it? As an Internship Placement Coordinator Intern, you'll find new companies, open conversations, progress opportunities, convert host partners and help place international students with the right employers. You'll work side by side with experienced Internship Placement Managers through the busiest months of the year, with real ownership and measurable impact.

Based in Madrid or Lisbon, you will support our Madrid and Lisbon programmes alongside our Internship Placement Managers, reporting to the Regional Placement Lead for South Europe.

What you'll do

Most of your time goes on growth: researching markets, building lead lists, cold calling, running discovery calls and following up with promising companies. You'll also support the placement cycle, from preparing students for interviews to confirming Internship Agreements. Your manager coaches you and approves key decisions, while you are expected to take ownership of your work and deliver tangible results.

Your impact should be visible in both the commercial pipeline and the student experience. By May, you will have:

  • Built a healthy pipeline of new companies through research, cold outreach and discovery calls.

  • Progressed qualified opportunities and converted new employer relationships into host companies.

  • Helped students secure strong placement opportunities by preparing them well and moving matches forward.

  • Kept agreements, deadlines and HubSpot accurate so your work helped placements move faster.

  • Research target markets and growing sectors, build lead lists and enrich contacts in Apollo and HubSpot.

  • Make cold calls, run discovery calls and own follow-up with promising companies.

  • Run outreach campaigns and keep momentum with new and existing host companies.

  • Qualify and screen potential host companies against our standards and convert opportunities where appropriate.

  • Shortlist companies for students, send approved introductions and schedule interviews.

  • Run mock interviews and brief students so they walk in prepared.

  • Draft Internship Agreements, track placement and visa deadlines, and flag risks early.

  • Keep HubSpot accurate and support pre-departure webinars and Q&A sessions where needed.

How you'll work

Location: Madrid or Lisbon

Duration: Full-time 6-month Internship beginning in December 2026.

Start Date: December
