The role

We are looking for a PURCHASING AND PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN to join a consolidated industrial company in ELGOIBAR, specialized in the design and manufacture of custom machinery.

What you'll do

Manage the procurement of materials, components, and services according to the needs of each project.
Carry out technical purchasing: reading blueprints, selecting materials, and sourcing specialized suppliers for machined parts and metal components.
Coordinate delivery deadlines and maintain ongoing follow-up with the workshop, assembly, and technical office.
Control costs and supply lead times, anticipating deviations.
Support material planning by assembly phases.
Collaborate in the technical evaluation of suppliers and the optimization of purchasing processes.
Maintain fluid communication with local suppliers and project managers.

Requirements

Technical Engineering or higher degree (preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering).
Experience between 4 and 10 years in technical purchasing or material planning in make-to-order manufacturing environments.
Solid knowledge of blueprint reading, machining processes, steel grades, and machinery components.
Proficient use of office tools and ERP systems.
Spanish (mandatory); Basque is a plus.
Profile with autonomy, technical rigor, planning skills, and a results-oriented approach.
