Job Description:
An opportunity for a Materiel Support Manager - A330 MRTT Fleet has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the Derivatives Material Services Team within the Customer Services organization. The department is in charge of providing end-to-end Material Support and managing Performance-Based Logistics contracts for the A330 MRTT Fleet for international military customers. The jobholder will reinforce our Customer Services organization, acting as a key link between Material Services and Program Management to drive operational readiness, secure supply chain milestones, and steer contract performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
Deliver the Initial Part List (IPL), material repairs, and replenishment activities supporting the A330 MRTT Fleet.
Manage In-Service Support and Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) contracts, acting as the primary Material Services point of contact for Programme Managers.
Drive End-to-End material issue resolution across operational, planning, procurement, quality, and logistics centers of competence to meet milestone commitments.
Steer financial performance and cost evolution (EBIT, revenues, budget expenditure), identifying deviations early and defining corrective action plans.
Coordinate and deploy Derivatives Material Services operational policies across local Airbus DS teams stationed at active customer air bases.
Oversee risk management, formal governance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Services) to optimize operational efficiency and cost targets.
SKILLS

Education: Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering degree, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Proven experience in Materiel Support, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Procurement within complex engineering environments.
Soft skills: Autonomous and accountable with strong prioritization, problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to build trustful, collaborative stakeholder relationships.
Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
Technical knowledge: Strong proficiency in SAP (Logistics/Materials), Supply Chain operations, and KPI/Performance Management.
Valuable / Nice to have: Experience with Performance-Based Logistics (PBL), defense sector logistics, or aerospace service contracts will be valued.
