The role

As the Technical Account Manager (API) Team Lead, you will combine technical leadership with hands-on game provider management to ensure the successful adoption and performance of our API solutions. You will lead the game providers' integrations.

In this dual-focus role, you will be responsible for defining technical account management standards, optimising client and provider onboarding workflows, and guiding game providers through complex API integrations while managing the daily operational performance and growth of your team. You will serve as the strategic escalation point for game provider technical issues and act as the core link between your team, clients, providers, Product, and Engineering.

What you'll do

  • People Management: Mentor, train, and manage a team of Technical Account Managers, conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine onboarding procedures, workflow automations, and mandatory testing protocols to shorten integration lifecycles and solve post-live issues efficiently.

  • Resource & Queue Allocation: Oversee ticket distribution, workload balancing, and game provider project assignments to maintain high service-level agreements (SLAs) and rapid resolution times.

  • KPI Management: Track and report key metrics to Integration Manager, including time-to-live (TTL), game provider pass rates, product performance, and game provider satisfaction scores.

  • Direct Game Provider Engagement: Act as a lead technical advisor, managing game provider relationships until they go live and beyond.

  • API Testing & Quality Assurance: Enforce strict testing standards (using tools like Postman) to ensure game providers pass mandatory integration tests before finalising the process.

  • System Setups & Troubleshooting: Help game providers troubleshoot issues, RESTful API schemas, and JSON payload configurations to minimise operational disruption.

  • Timeline & Goal Alignment: Push game providers to meet integration deadlines without compromising quality, ensuring solutions align directly with their business goals.

  • Product & Engineering Bridge: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal Product and Engineering teams, relaying game provider feedback, API usability issues, and feature requests.

  • Documentation & Best Practices: Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive internal department documentation, game provider-facing integration guides, and operational runbooks.

  • Escalation Point: Handle high-priority game provider technical escalations, providing fast, empathetic, and expert resolution.
