About the role

In our quest to be the best employer, the global Human Resources teams —known as People eXperience and Technology (PXT)— drive business success by fostering a safe, inclusive, and innovative culture. The HR Business Partner is responsible for operational excellence and organizational health in the assigned centers, acting as an individual collaborator in close alliance with local teams and center leadership teams.

This role will strengthen the culture and achieve business results by translating organizational priorities into action plans, making data-driven decisions, and collaborating with campus leaders to improve the employee experience. This role is responsible for the employee experience, overseeing center-level feedback mechanisms, recognition programs, and standards that shape trust, commitment, and performance.

Physical presence at Amazon facilities is required, with mobility to support multiple centers within the assigned region.

What you'll do

Key job responsibilities

  • Foster two-way communication between employees and leaders through feedback mechanisms such as associate voice, roundtables, and plant tours.
  • Execute and monitor engagement strategies and recognition programs, including budget planning and recognition activities.
  • Build an environment where people feel safe and included, ensuring fair talent practices.
  • Maintain a significant on-site presence throughout the center, gathering information and identifying early signs of disengagement.

Operational Excellence and Center Standards

  • Conduct regular center tours to assess workplace conditions and keep facility standards in line with Amazon standards.
  • Collaborate with center leaders and safety teams to ensure consistent execution of safety programs.
  • Lead community initiatives in the center(s), collaborating with Public Policy and Public Relations teams.
  • Improve center effectiveness by identifying systemic patterns, addressing root causes, and ensuring consistent and fair application of policies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making and Technology
  • Use data analysis to identify emerging trends, anticipate challenges, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of HR technology solutions, AI, and self-service tools, maintaining high-touch service in critical moments. PXT Strategic Leadership
  • Collaborate with center leadership teams to balance operational needs with Amazon's people values and priorities.
  • Advise business leaders on effective people management practices, including performance feedback, team development, and labor relations issues.
  • Support change implementation by reinforcing messages, addressing resistance, and helping leaders translate change into local routines.
  • Execute key PXT processes by building trust and influence through business knowledge.

A day in the life

You will leverage advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, anticipate business needs, and develop solutions that enhance the workplace experience. From advising leadership teams on workforce management to driving HR process excellence, you will collaborate with Field Leaders on operational goals and team effectiveness.

You will maintain a strong on-site presence, building alliances at all levels and contributing to significant improvements through center tours, feedback sessions, and strategic projects. Success comes from your ability to manage organizational dynamics, lead change initiatives, and make high-stakes decisions in ambiguous situations.
