The role

At Axpo Iberia, we are looking for an analytical person to develop and maintain quantitative models, forecasts, and analytical tools to optimize energy procurement and the management of flexible resources, from electricity consumption to photovoltaic generation and battery storage. If you are motivated by data, electricity markets, and renewable energy, we would love to meet you.

What you'll do

  • Generate and improve electricity consumption and demand forecasts, developing quantitative models for consumption, photovoltaic generation, battery storage, and flexible demand.

  • Analyze and model photovoltaic production profiles, including weather-dependent generation patterns and forecast deviations.

  • Provide support for the modeling and optimization of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), considering capacity, efficiency, state of charge, and operational constraints.

  • Identify and quantify demand flexibility opportunities, such as load shifting, peak reduction, and demand response.

  • Prepare imbalance cost reports, operational alerts, and performance reports, as well as provide support for electricity market analysis (OMIE, forward curves, balancing markets).

  • Collaborate with the Trading, Origination, Sales, and Operations teams in the development of data-driven energy solutions.
