As a Production Technician, you are responsible for safely and reliably operating and monitoring specific equipment on the production line. Your role focuses on developing fundamental technical skills, following process disciplines, and learning the basics of equipment performance and quality controls. You are expected to follow standard operating procedures, respond to basic equipment stoppages, and escalate any anomalies when necessary. Through strong performance, technical curiosity, and learning agility, this position can progress toward Production Specialist positions or other technical roles with greater responsibility and autonomy.

As a Production Operator, you will be an essential part of our team at our plant in Llinars del Vallès - Av. del Mogent, 244 - 08450 Llinars del Vallès (Barcelona), reporting to the Shift Supervisor. You will contribute to Ball's success by ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality operation of the assigned production line, complying with established technical, quality, and safety standards.

What you'll do

The responsibilities shown below represent more than daily tasks. They are opportunities to make a difference, collaborate with talented colleagues, and contribute to meaningful results:

  • Operate the assigned equipment following standard procedures, ensuring the safe and stable operation of a specific machine or process stage, and escalating issues when necessary

  • Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions, comply with safety standards, correctly use PPE, and participate in safety audits and controls. Identify and report anomalies in equipment or processes, recognizing unusual behaviors or deviations and communicating them to team leaders

  • Support basic troubleshooting and housekeeping activities, assist in minor repairs, and perform periodic cleanings or checks under supervision

  • Perform visual inspections and basic dimensional checks, execute in-process verifications using established visual tools and standards, and report non-conformities

  • Minimize material waste through correct handling and operation, working carefully to reduce waste

  • Participate in on-the-job training and learning activities, developing knowledge about the impact of upstream and downstream processes, equipment setup, and quality factors
