The candidate will join the Quantitative & Business Solutions team, where we develop valuation and risk management solutions for financial products. They will tackle exploratory research projects of interest to the business area:
Development of valuation and risk management tools in prototype or production format.
Development and support of continuous integration and development tools.
Optimization and performance of existing tools.
Proof of concept to evaluate in-house integrations with third-party commercial software.
Proof of concept to deploy tools in the Cloud.
Developments aimed at improving error management and tools oriented toward the detection of programming errors.
The intern will carry out their training period in a CIB-Global Markets business unit, under the supervision of a senior member of BBVA. The training will allow them to acquire technical competencies and theoretical knowledge related to quantitative finance, with the aim of completing their academic training and offering them a global and transversal vision of the markets business. These include:
Financial product valuation theory.
Financial products and markets.
C++ programming language.
Basic knowledge of other scripting or prototyping languages (e.g., Python).
Continuous integration and DevOps tools centered around C++.
