High Voltage Electrical Designer

• Education: Industrial Technical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions, with a clear focus on the design of high-voltage electrical substations.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Solid knowledge in the design of electrical industrial installations and services.
• Experience in the development of detailed engineering for electrical substations.
• Proficiency in high-voltage equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, load break switches, surge arresters, etc.).
• Knowledge of regulations and standards applicable to the electrical and high-voltage sector (IEC, IEEE, CTE, REBT, etc.).
• Experience using CAD design software (AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and electrical calculation tools.
• Skills:
• Ability for the autonomous development of technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Organization and time management.
• Proactivity and adaptability.
• Languages: Technical English level will be valued.

• Experience in the different project phases: conceptual, basic, detailed engineering, construction, and as-built.
• Experience in consultancy or in engineering companies within the energy sector.
• Knowledge of digital protection and control systems (substation controllers, RTUs, etc.).

Job Description: We are looking for professionals with proven experience in the detailed engineering of electrical substations. You will be responsible for developing technical documentation autonomously, ensuring the quality and precision of the designs. Additionally, your ability to coordinate effectively with the various disciplines involved in the project (civil, structures, instrumentation, etc.) will be fundamental to guarantee the correct integration of the electrical systems.

We will especially value those candidates who have actively participated in the different phases of a project's life cycle, covering everything from conceptual and detailed engineering and design, to technical support during the construction phase and the preparation of as-built documentation. Your contribution will be key to the success of our high-voltage projects.

• Development of detailed electrical and construction drawings for substations, including:
• General layout and distribution of main equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, etc.).
• Design of conduit systems, electrical trenches, and trays for power and control cabling.
• Foundation drawings specific to electrical equipment.
• Preparation of single-line and multi-line diagrams, reflecting the topology and operation of the installations.
• Design of protection, control, and measurement schemes, ensuring the safety and operability of the substation.
• Creation of interconnection drawings for equipment and systems.
• Application of current national and international technical regulations in high-voltage electrical design.
• Review and validation of designs, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and client requirements.
• Close collaboration with other engineering departments to ensure the compatibility and optimization of designs.
• Participation in technical and project coordination meetings.
• Technical support during the construction and commissioning phase.
• Preparation of as-built documentation based on site information.
