Requirements

What we're looking for

University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering, or similar.
Very high level of English.
Availability for recurring travel to countries in the Mediterranean region and other markets under their responsibility (mainly Italy, Greece, Portugal, and Poland), especially during the initial phase to facilitate integration with local teams and knowledge of operations. Travel will be approximately once or twice a month.
At least 6 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in indirect categories.
Experience in complex negotiation and integral management of international procurement and contracting processes.
Ability to read contracts, detect problematic clauses, and negotiate different variables, not just price.
Experience managing interlocutors from different areas and countries, with the ability to influence without hierarchical authority.
Practical knowledge of SAP MM.
Good communication and analytical skills, autonomy, practical attitude, and ability to work under pressure.
High level of responsibility and ownership: self-organization, proactive communication, and full responsibility from the start of the process until the signing of the contract.

Nice to have

Master's degree or postgraduate related.
Experience managing teams.
Knowledge of German.
CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification or equivalent.

The role

We are currently selecting an International Strategic Buyer with experience in indirect procurement and availability to travel to join one of the teams that Between has implemented at one of our main clients. The working modality is remote.

What you'll do

Lead from start to finish the purchase and contracting of more than 40 indirect categories in different countries, defining strategies to optimize costs and reduce risks.
Advise internal areas and coordinate with different procurement teams within a global environment, with interlocution mainly in Italy and Greece, as well as Portugal and Poland.
Manage procurement of consulting, training, engineering services, audits, travel, and facility management, among other indirect categories.
Handle the complete procurement process: needs analysis, supplier search and qualification, tenders, evaluation, negotiation, and contractual closing.
Negotiate contracts and commercial conditions with national and international suppliers, considering price, risks, and clauses.
Act as a strategic partner for internal areas, anticipating needs and managing interlocutors from different departments and countries.
Guarantee the implementation of contracts and collaborate with Tactical Procurement in order management.
Ensure compliance with internal approval, governance, qualification, and risk management processes.
Generate savings and improvements through total cost analysis, supplier consolidation, innovation, and optimization of processes and tools.
