The role
At Cajamar Tecnología, we need to hire someone for the IT Infrastructure and Operations office.
You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, protection, and recovery of corporate information through the technical and operational governance of storage and backup services in a complex, critical environment subject to high continuity requirements.
The position must supervise platforms, capacities, service levels, risks, and evolution plans; coordinate the service provided by external providers in charge of the operation and administration of the technological infrastructure; lead the response to serious incidents; and guarantee that copies and restorations meet recovery objectives, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
What you'll do
- Govern the end-to-end operation of storage and backup platforms, guaranteeing availability, performance, integrity, security, and compliance with service levels.
- Define, review, and control copy, replication, retention, archiving, encryption, immutability, and restoration policies, aligning them with service criticality and RPO and RTO objectives.
- Supervise daily the success of copies, exceptions, capacity consumption, infrastructure health, and performance trends, promoting preventive actions before they affect the service.
- Technically lead the resolution of critical incidents and recurring problems, coordinating manufacturers, providers, and systems, database, communications, security, and applications teams.
- Plan and execute periodic restoration and disaster recovery tests, documenting scope, results, deviations, evidence, and improvement plans until their closure.
- Manage capacity, demand, and obsolescence through forecasting, thresholds, growth analysis, and investment proposals that avoid risks of saturation or lack of support.
- Evaluate designs, changes, migrations, and new needs, ensuring their compatibility, recoverability, monitoring, support, documentation, and reversibility before moving to production.
- Maintain up-to-date inventories, dependency relationships, responsibility assignments, and configuration data, avoiding orphaned assets, unmonitored assets, or incorrectly classified assets.
- Control the service provided by third parties through SLA, KPI, follow-up meetings, escalations, root cause analysis, commitments, and action plans with owners and target dates.
- Identify operational, technological, and security risks; propose mitigation measures; and prepare executive information and evidence for committees, audits, and continuity exercises.
- Drive automation, standardization, observability, and continuous improvement to reduce manual tasks, errors, diagnostic times, and dependence on individual knowledge.
