Industrial Refrigeration and HVAC Technician

We are looking for an Industrial Refrigeration and HVAC Technical Manager to join our team and take on the technical management of installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of large-scale refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

The selected candidate will be a key figure within the organization, leading technical teams, coordinating projects, and providing advanced solutions that ensure energy efficiency, installation reliability, and excellence in customer service.

Ensuring proper operation, efficiency, and technological evolution of industrial refrigeration and air conditioning installations, coordinating teams and technical resources to guarantee maximum quality, safety, and operational continuity.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities

Technical management and operational management

  • Planning, coordinating, and supervising installation, assembly, and commissioning projects for large-scale industrial refrigeration, commercial cooling, and air conditioning systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with deadlines, technical standards, and established quality requirements.
  • Resolving complex technical issues and acting as a reference in decision-making.

Maintenance and continuous improvement

  • Designing and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
  • Analyzing recurring failures and proposing improvements aimed at reducing downtime and optimizing installation performance.
  • Implementing solutions to increase the energy efficiency of equipment.

Resource and cost management

  • Controlling materials, spare parts, and refrigerant gas management.
  • Preparing technical and economic reports to support decision-making.
  • Optimizing human and material resources associated with each intervention.

Technical team leadership

  • Coordinating and supporting the field technician team.
  • Fostering a culture based on safety, technical quality, and efficient problem-solving.
  • Participating in team training and development.

Customer relations

  • Serving as the main technical contact for strategic clients.
  • Advising on improvements, optimizations, and new solutions in refrigeration and air conditioning.

Main technical duties

  • Diagnosing and resolving complex faults in refrigeration circuits and control systems.
  • Adjusting and optimizing equipment to maximize performance and energy efficiency.
  • Supervising compliance with current regulations (RITE, F-gas management, leak detection, and environmental requirements).
  • Interpreting electrical schematics, refrigeration blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Preparing technical reports and digital tracking of interventions.
  • Operational management: Planning and execution of installations, as well as commissioning of industrial refrigeration, air conditioning, and commercial cooling systems. Supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance cycles.
  • Economic control: Optimized supply management, spare parts and gas inventory control, and preparation of technical reports for monitoring intervention costs.
  • Team coordination: Organization and supervision of field work teams, ensuring response times and technical quality in installations and repairs.
  • Technical liaison: Direct contact with clients and maintenance managers, acting as the company's technical representative in resolving issues.
  • Safety and quality: Rigorous application of occupational health and safety protocols, with special attention to environmental regulations on F-gases and energy efficiency.
  • Installation, preventive and corrective maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
  • Diagnosis and repair of faults in refrigeration systems.
  • Commissioning, adjustment, and optimization of equipment.
  • Inspection of refrigeration circuits, leak detection, and refrigerant gas management.
  • Preparation of work reports and technical documentation.
  • Direct contact with clients and compliance with current safety and environmental regulations.
