Requirements

What we're looking for

At least 3 years of experience in RPG IV (RPGLE) development on IBM i
Experience with CL and with DB2 for i (SQL)
Analytical capacity and orientation toward problem-solving
Ability to work in a team and good communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with free-format RPG and SQLRPGLE
Experience in modernization or migration projects of legacy systems
Knowledge of integration with APIs or web services from IBM i
Experience in the retail, distribution, or food sectors
Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related disciplines

The role

At CONVOTIS Iberia, we are looking to hire an RPG IV Programmer with experience in IBM i (AS/400) for a project involving the modernization and evolution of critical business systems in a large company within the distribution and retail sector [client, unnamed].

You will be part of a specialized team working on applications that support the client's daily operations, with a real impact on the business.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain applications in IBM i (AS/400) environments using RPG IV (RPGLE) and CL
Participate in projects for the evolution and modernization of legacy systems
Analyze and resolve incidents
Design and implement new functionalities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to guarantee the quality of solutions
Participate in continuous improvement and technological transformation initiatives
