The role

The Courir Group is looking for an Operational Retail Auditor on a permanent contract (CDI) to join the Internal Audit Department.

Your playground? A perimeter of approximately 70 stores located in the South of France, Spain, and Portugal.

Much more than an audit position, this is a resolutely operational role, working closely to the reality of the stores. Your mission is to secure activities, but also and above all to support field teams in improving their practices and processes.

You do not simply come to note discrepancies. You seek to understand their causes, you share your analyses with a pedagogical approach, and you build concrete, realistic, and sustainable solutions with the teams.

This position requires strong autonomy and a true appetite for the field. Depending on the time of year and the audit schedule, you may be required to travel for an entire week, to intervene occasionally outside your usual perimeter, and to return to stores to follow up on actions initiated following audits.

What you'll do

Perform operational audits in stores

  • Prepare and conduct audit missions planned in the annual plan;
  • Observe the actual functioning of stores and exchange with operational teams;
  • Evaluate the application of Group procedures and standards;
  • Perform documentary controls, field observations, and targeted tests;
  • Control, in particular, stock and inventory management, cash receipts, discounts, customer returns, fund security, and omnichannel processes;
  • Identify discrepancies, analyze their causes, and measure their consequences on the business;
  • Evaluate the main operational, financial, human, and regulatory risks.

Support stores in improving their practices

  • Report audit results to Regional Directors and Store Managers;
  • Present findings in a clear, factual, and constructive manner;
  • Help teams define corrective actions adapted to their operational constraints;
  • Perform audit follow-ups and support the implementation of action plans;
  • Carry out, when necessary, new store visits to measure progress made;
  • Evolve practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes;
  • Facilitate the adoption of procedures by the teams;
  • Create a relationship of trust that allows for the combination of high standards, performance, and support.

Prevent risks and strengthen internal control

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control mechanisms deployed in stores;
  • Identify situations presenting a risk of fraud, shrinkage, or non-compliance;
  • Alert the relevant stakeholders in case of major malfunction;
  • Participate in risk prevention and the securing of activities;
  • Identify recurring discrepancies and propose solutions to reduce them sustainably;
  • Contribute to compliance work and the Group's risk mapping.

Ensure reporting and follow-up of actions

  • Write audit reports and summaries intended for the various Departments;
  • Prioritize findings and recommendations based on their risk level;
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of corrective actions;
  • Produce management indicators related to audit, internal control, and compliance;
  • Communicate regularly on the progress of missions and action plans;
  • Share best practices identified in the field.

Contribute to process improvement

  • Be a source of proposals to improve the operational efficiency of stores;
  • Participate in the evolution of audit methods, tools, and programs;
  • Support the deployment of new processes or tools within the network;
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects related to audit, internal control, and compliance;
  • Participate occasionally in audit missions outside your usual perimeter;
  • Intervene in support of other team members according to the priorities and needs of the Group.

Hiring process

1) Interview with the HQ HR Manager

2) Assessfist Test

3) Video conference interview with the Audit team
