Qualifications required:

• Higher degree in Automotive Engineering, although profiles currently studying or who have recently obtained it will also be valued.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Valuable experience in the insurance sector or as an insurance surveyor.
• No additional specific knowledge is required, although profiles with experience in asset management will be valued.
• Ability to work in a team, self-management, and responsibility.

DEKRA Spain, a global organization with more than 50,000 employees and a presence in more than 60 countries, is looking to hire a Digital Car Surveyor (m/f/d) for its DEKRA Claims & Expertise division, within the Collision area in Madrid

We offer you the opportunity to be part of a team specialized in damage management and assessment, participating in projects linked to new clients in the insurance sector.

We are looking for a professional with experience in the sector as a car surveyor, who will participate in the review and assessment of estimates related to damages. The selected person will have a key role in vehicle verification, cost analysis, and checking their compliance with internal standards and market prices.

• Inspect vehicles affected by accidents, breakdowns, or material damage, reviewing bodywork, structure, mechanics, electricity, and electronics.
• Identify, analyze, and determine the origin, scope, and compatibility of the damages with the reported accident or incident.
• Perform economic assessments of the repair, including parts, labor, materials, intervention times, and possible substitutions.
• Determine whether the vehicle is repairable or if it should be considered a total loss, comparing the repair cost with its salvage or market value
• Prepare detailed, objective, and documented technical and expert reports with photographs, observed damages, conclusions, and economic quantification.race+1
• Review and cross-check workshop estimates, invoices, and repairs carried out to verify their technical and economic adequacy.
• Coordinate with insurers, workshops, clients, suppliers and, when necessary, lawyers or courts to clarify incidents, defend assessments, and resolve claims.
