What we're looking for

Education: Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of demonstrable experience in firmware development for IoT devices.
Essential technical skills:
Proficiency in using Git through branch-oriented development.
Object-oriented programming.
C++ for embedded firmware. Knowledge of architectural design.
Use of ESP32 microcontroller families
Knowledge of the ESP-IDF framework, use of CMake, and environment configuration
FreeRTOS (task management, queues, mutex, concurrency, race conditions, synchronization...)
Memory leak control
Driver development for sensors (RS485, I2C, UART, SPI) and communications (WIFI, BlueThooth, Ethernet, LoRa, GSM-LTE)
Low-level development (working with binary files and bit manipulation)
Advanced debugging (breakpoints, register inspection via JTAG+GDB/OpenOCD)
Use of Visual Studio + ESP-IDF / Espressif-IDE / Eclipse + ESP-IDF
Knowledge of power management for embedded systems.

Nice to have

Valuable knowledge:
Python programming.
Integration of devices with technologies such as KNX, BACnet, or similar.
Applied knowledge regarding the use of agile methodologies.

The role

We are looking for a Firmware Developer with experience in IoT devices to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative technological solutions that directly impact the environmental sector, contributing to the monitoring and improvement of air quality, water and other environmental indicators. In addition, you will actively participate in Research and Development (R&D) projects, exploring new technologies and applications to optimize the impact of our devices.

What you'll do

Design and develop optimized firmware for IoT devices supporting different power supply options (power supply, batteries, PoE or solar panels), communication protocols (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, GSM, LoRaWAN), as well as various sensor combinations.
Implement robust solutions supported by the use of standards.
Ensure firmware robustness under adverse conditions and with low power consumption.
Implement and integrate specific sensors for environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, gases, suspended particles, VOCs, meteorology,...).
Write technical specifications for the firmware.
Verify and ensure firmware operation through automatable tests.
Collaborate on R&D projects related to new technologies and innovative solutions in the environmental IoT field.
Document and communicate research results and technical advances.
