Procurement Consultant

The person occupying the position of Buyer will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support Fujitsu's business objectives. They will work closely with different business areas, suppliers, and colleagues in the Procurement department to generate business value, mitigate risks, and contribute to the company's growth.

The selected person must have solid knowledge and experience in procurement, negotiation capacity, and stakeholder management skills for both internal and external parties. Special attention will be paid to the development of strategic sourcing initiatives (strategic sourcing), supplier management, cost optimization, and collaboration with business areas.

This position will act as a trusted advisor to the business, driving procurement best practices, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and supporting the transformation initiatives of the Procurement area in the region.

1. Strategic procurement

• Develop, implement, and supervise procurement strategies aligned with business needs and the department's regional objectives.

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement projects in the main spend categories.

• Identify opportunities to generate value, optimize costs, and improve processes.

1. Supplier management

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers.

• Support supplier performance management, contract compliance monitoring, and risk mitigation activities.

• Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, foster innovation and sustainability, and achieve better business results.

1. Commercial negotiation

• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best commercial, contractual, and operational conditions.

• Collaborate with the Legal department and business areas in the review and negotiation of contracts.

• Protect Fujitsu's commercial interests while maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.

1. Stakeholder Management

• Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders from the various business units and functional areas.

• Act as the main point of contact for the Procurement department for the assigned business areas in Spain.

• Provide guidance and advice on procurement matters throughout the entire sourcing and contracting cycle.

1. Procurement operations and regulatory compliance

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance requirements, and responsible procurement principles.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and the department's digitalization initiatives.

• Promote compliance with requirements related to sustainability, ESG (environmental, social, and governance) criteria, supplier diversity, and risk management.

1. Procurement area transformation

• Support regional and global transformation initiatives of the Procurement department.

• Contribute to the harmonization of processes, efficiency improvement, and the adoption of procurement best practices.

• Achievement of annual savings and value generation objectives.

• Successful execution of strategic sourcing and negotiation initiatives.
