Chief Executive Officer | Startup Death Tech

• Experience leading businesses, startups, and/or digital solutions, with real responsibility over strategy and results. Ideally, in succession verticals, inheritance management, the funeral, or insurance sectors.

• Demonstrated experience in the launch and growth of digital products/services and a B2B/B2B2C focus.

• Strong commercial capacity: business development, negotiation, and closing strategic agreements.

• Solid financial, analytical, and operational capacity, with experience managing budgets, investment, or P&L.

• Experience creating and developing multidisciplinary teams in agile environments (sales, technology, marketing, operations).

• Hands-on and 0→1 mentality: comfortable doing everything in the early stages of the business.

• Degree in Law and being a registered member of the Bar.

• Track record scaling businesses or startups (Series A-B stage).

At GCO Ventures, the Corporate Venturing entity of GCO (Grupo Catalana Occidente), we are building a new startup to solve a problem experienced by hundreds of thousands of families every year in Spain: managing an inheritance.

It will consist of a digital solution that offers frictionless end-to-end management; providing value through the balance between technology, legal and tax experts, and human support.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial person, with strategic vision and great execution capacity, to lead the startup as Chief Executive Officer.

You will have the responsibility of converting a validated opportunity into a business with real traction: from defining the strategy, evolving the MVP, leading the go-to-market, and building the team, to directing the key levers of growth and long-term impact.

• Define and execute the vision, strategy, and priorities of the startup from phase 0→1.

• Establish a clear path toward product-market fit and scalability.

• Define and monitor key business objectives and metrics.

• Design the business plan and lead the GTM (B2B/B2B2C).

• Build and strengthen alliances with key partners within the funeral and insurance sectors.

• Direct day-to-day operations and ensure a focus on results.

• Build, hire, and develop a multidisciplinary team (network of legal/tax specialists, sales, technology, operations).

• Foster a culture of impact, learning, and agile execution.

• Work alongside product and technology to evolve the MVP into a solid, AI-driven solution.

• Ensure that the differential value proposition maintains legal and tax rigor for our partners and users.

• Manage the P&L, budget, and investment, ensuring sustainable growth.

• Present progress, learnings, and strategic decisions to the Board.

• Represent the startup before stakeholders, media, and key industry events.
