What we're looking for

Approximately 3-4 years of professional experience working in areas related to APIs, integration, or architecture, with knowledge or practical experience in API Governance and Event-Driven architectures.
Experience or good knowledge in the design and definition of REST and asynchronous APIs.
Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for the definition and documentation of contracts.
Knowledge of Event-Driven architectures (EDA) and familiarity with their main concepts and patterns.
Knowledge of Avro data schemas and/or techniques such as Event Storming.
Familiarity with governance standards, quality controls, and API validations.
Knowledge of CI/CD and automation.
Knowledge of API security concepts, such as OAuth, JWT, IAM, mTLS, certificates, or ACLs.
Knowledge or interest in areas such as auditing, traceability, observability, and event lineage.
Ability to work collaboratively with different teams, with proactivity, learning capacity, and good communication skills.

Nice to have

Knowledge of BIAN architecture is valued.

The role

We are looking for an API Governance Engineer to join the Glintt Next team, participating in initiatives that connect business, architecture, and technology at one of our leading clients in the banking sector.

As an API Governance Engineer, you will be part of initiatives related to the governance, design, and definition of REST APIs and Event-Driven architectures (EDA). You will collaborate in the application of standards and best practices that guarantee the quality, security, and consistency of APIs and events, participating in their lifecycle and working hand in hand with architecture, development, security, and business teams.

What you'll do

Collaborating in the application and maintenance of the REST API and Event-Driven governance model, following established standards, policies, and best practices.
Participating in the review of APIs and events to check their adequacy to the organization's design and governance standards.
Applying quality controls and validations that allow for the identification of possible non-compliance and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborating in the automation of governance controls and validations within CI/CD processes.
Participating in the maintenance of API and event catalogs and inventories, contributing to keeping information updated, classified, and traceable.
Applying established criteria for security, access control, auditing, and observability in APIs and events.
Collaborating in the definition and documentation of APIs, events, and contracts within REST and Event-Driven solutions.
Working alongside architecture, development, security, and business teams to support the correct application of standards and best practices.
Participating in internal adoption and evangelization initiatives related to API Governance and Event-Driven architectures.
