At knowmad mood we continue to grow and are looking to hire an API Architect with experience in API definition, governance, and strategy to drive the digital transformation of our clients.

You will be the person responsible for leading the strategy, design, and governance of APIs, ensuring the quality, security, and consistency of the implemented solutions. Additionally, you will act as a link between business and technology, promoting best practices and the adoption of modern event-driven architectures.

• Design and define REST and asynchronous APIs following corporate standards.

• Document APIs using Swagger, OpenAPI, and AsyncAPI (2.x and 3.x).

• Define and manage data schemas using Avro.

• Model events using Event Storming techniques.

• Drive Event-Driven architectures, applying concepts such as:

  • Events vs. commands.

  • Orchestration vs. choreography.

  • Saga patterns and compensation mechanisms.

• Validate API quality through metrics, reports, and scoring models.

• Develop validation tools and automatic linters.

• Define and implement continuous integration and automation (CI/CD) processes.

• Manage the complete lifecycle of APIs and events: versioning, documentation, monitoring, and deprecation.

• Establish standards, guides, and best practices for REST and EDA architectures.

• Define governance policies and models for different types of APIs.

• Manage catalogs and domains, maintaining inventories of APIs and events.

• Ensure auditing, traceability, and event lineage.

• Drive the observability and monitoring of solutions.

• Design and supervise security mechanisms for APIs and events:

  • OAuth2

  • JWT

  • IAM Policies

  • ACLs

  • MTLS

  • Digital certificates

  • Identity Providers (IdP)

  • Encryption and data protection

• Lead workshops, training, and technological evangelization sessions.

• Promote APIs as strategic business enablers.

• Drive the adoption of Event-Driven architectures and best practices.

• Facilitate collaboration between business and technology areas.

• Participate in initiatives aligned with architectures and reference models such as BIAN.
