The role

🎯 Job Offer: ERVE Technical Designer / Electric Mobility Project Engineer (Galicia, Andalusia, Valencia and Madrid)

At IGNEO Ingeniería, we continue to strengthen our Energy and Mobility team and are looking to incorporate an ERVE Technical Designer / Electric Mobility Project Engineer into our Mobility Technical Office.

We are looking for a profile with experience in Low and Medium Voltage electrical installations, with the capacity to participate in the integral development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure (ERVE) projects, from the initial feasibility analysis to the preparation of the execution project and technical support during the construction phase.

The position will have drafting support, so we are looking for a person with technical criteria, calculation and design capacity, and a clear constructive vision, capable of defining viable and executable electrical solutions, beyond graphic production via AutoCAD.

You will participate in electrification and electric mobility projects, working in a coordinated manner with the engineering, construction, permitting, and Project Management teams.

What you'll do

🔧 Main Responsibilities and Functions:

• Technical feasibility analysis, site layouts, and technical-economic conditions established by distribution companies.

• Definition and design of electrical solutions for electric vehicle charging stations in Low and Medium Voltage.

• Design of installations with AC and DC chargers, electrical panels, lines, conduits, protections, and other associated elements.

• Participation in projects that include transformation centers, sectioning centers, and Medium Voltage lines.

• Performance, verification, and review of electrical calculations necessary for the correct dimensioning of installations.

• Preparation of technical reports, calculation annexes, measurements, and budgets.

• Technical definition of the plans and graphic documentation that the drafting team will develop.

• Review of plans, single-line diagrams, constructive details, and project technical documentation.

• Coordination of technical aspects with electrical distribution companies.

• Technical support to the permitting, construction, and Project Management teams during the different phases of the project.

• Resolution of technical queries and incidents during the execution of works.

• Participation in the preparation and review of Redline and As-Built documentation.

• Technical criteria and constructive vision to anticipate and resolve possible incidents before the construction phase.

• Capacity to transform an initial feasibility into an executable and constructible technical solution.

• Capacity for coordination with drafting and with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and permitting teams.

• Proactivity, autonomy, and orientation towards the technical quality of projects.

🚀 We offer:

• Joining a growing Energy and Mobility area.

• Participation in real electrification and electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects.

• Development of Low and Medium Voltage electrical projects.

• Professional development and specialization within the field of electrical engineering and electric mobility.

• Coordinated work with engineering, construction, permitting, and client teams.

• Possibility of professional evolution towards Project Engineer or Project Engineering Manager positions.

About Grupo Igneo

Grupo Igneo is a Spanish industrial group specializing in engineering, construction, and maintenance services for the energy sector, particularly electrical substations, power lines, renewable energy (photovoltaic and biomass), and smart metering. The group operates across the full value chain — from project design and legalization to construction, commissioning, and ongoing operation & maintenance — and is a key contractor for utilities such as Endesa and e-Distribución in Spain.

In Spain, Grupo Igneo is headquartered in A Coruña (Galicia) and has a strong territorial footprint with offices in Madrid, Bilbao, Valencia, Pamplona, Logroño, Ourense, Ferrol, and Zaragoza, among others. The company recruits technical profiles (electrical, mechanical, civil engineers, project managers, environmental inspectors) and is actively internationalizing its renewable-energy project portfolio, which makes it a relevant employer for international professionals with experience in energy infrastructure, grid operations, and environmental compliance.

Good to know if you are moving

  • Spanish is the working language across most roles; international candidates without fluent Spanish will find limited positions (mainly engineering and technical roles).
  • The company is a key contractor for Spain's main utility groups (Endesa, e-Distribución), which can be an advantage for professionals with prior experience in regulated energy infrastructure.
  • Offices are spread across northern Spain (Galicia, Basque Country, Navarra, La Rioja) rather than concentrated in Madrid or Barcelona, so be prepared to relocate to smaller cities.
  • The group is actively internationalizing its renewable energy division (biomethane, PV, BESS), so profiles with international project experience are valued.
  • The company offers technical roles (electrical, mechanical, civil) that are not commonly open to non-EU profiles, so EU work authorization is practically a requirement.
