What we're looking for

You possess the qualification of Higher Technician in Maritime Transport and Deep-Sea Fishing or a Degree in Nautical Science and Maritime Transport or Higher Technician in Navigation - Fishing and Maritime Transport (qualification approved in Spain or certificate of equivalence issued by the General Secretariat of Universities) or Official Qualification enabling the dispatch of 8th-list vessels
At least 2 years of experience as a skipper of vessels with at least 10 meters of length
Valid medical certificate from the Instituto Social de la Marina
Updated maritime registration book
Valid fire fighting training certificate
Sanitary training certificate necessary to dispatch this type of vessel
Basic Safety training certificate
Training in non-rapid rescue boats
From 2 years to 8 years performing functions as a skipper and dispatching vessels of at least 10 meters in length with engines of at least 900 HP (accredited)

Nice to have

Accredited training in Word and Excel (verifiable through a subject or course)
Training in mechanical aspects of the vessel (accredited through a qualification or subject)

The role

Boat Skipper (La Palma)

Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., a subsidiary company of the TRAGSA GROUP, specialized in performing engineering, consulting, and technical assistance activities in agricultural, livestock, forestry, and environmental matters, is looking to hire 1 Boat Skipper in La Palma.

What you'll do

Skipper a 12-meter vessel with two 450 HP engines
Dispatch and manage vessel documentation and certificates before the Maritime Captaincy
Organize and collaborate on vessel maintenance tasks and other duties assigned by the Administration
Drafting of daily activity reports within the marine reserve area

How you'll work

La Palma (SantaCruzdeTenerife)
We offer:

- A fixed-term contract of approximately 5 months, with the option of extension if appropriate and respecting the maximum duration limits established in the current labor legislation for each contractual modality. The type and duration of the contract will depend on the reason for hiring, the project, and the circumstances of the selected person/s.
- The working day is carried out on a week-on, week-off basis, for a total of 10:30 effective hours per day with variable schedules.
