Requirements

What we're looking for

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Intermediate or Higher Level Vocational Training in Machining, Mechanical Manufacturing, or similar.
Language requirements:

Catalan: essential, as it is the company's working language.
English: sufficient level to communicate and negotiate with suppliers.

Proactive and able to work independently.
Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with and negotiate with suppliers.
Own vehicle required

The role

A company in the metal sector dedicated to industrial manufacturing requires a Purchasing and Quality Technician for a position based in Terrassa.

The selected candidate will work cross-functionally between the Purchasing and Quality departments, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to each area.

This is a cross-functional position, with direct contact with different areas of the company and the opportunity to gain an overall view of how an industrial company operates.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities will include:

Purchasing management, primarily of raw materials.
Contact, follow-up, and negotiation with suppliers.
Communication and coordination with the various internal departments.
Carrying out specific tasks related to the Quality Department.
Monitoring orders, incidents, and material needs.
Support for the Purchasing and Quality departments in day-to-day tasks.
Liaising with both suppliers and the different company departments.
