We are looking for a GIS developer with an agricultural background to join us for a [6]-month project. You will add geospatial capabilities to PVIM, our in-house platform for scheduling and monitoring solar-powered pumping in irrigation communities, so that it can estimate the water demand of the crops it serves.
Your work will cover the full cycle: building the geospatial data layer for each irrigation community (parcels, crops, network), developing a crop water demand model from satellite and meteorological data, integrating its outputs into PVIM's optimisation engine and web interface, and validating the results against real operating data from our plants.
You will work directly with the Asset Manager and the optimisation team, with real data from plants in operation and direct contact with the irrigation communities.
We make autonomous solar irrigation accessible and cost-effective for large-scale agriculture. Our patented solution enables safe off-grid operation of pumping stations and delivers energy cost savings of up to 70% compared with conventional irrigation systems, outperforming any other PV irrigation solution on the market. Our smart energy management system lets irrigation facilities automate pumping safely, with maximum energy-cost savings and full control over hydraulic levels and constraints.
More than 6,000 ha have been running reliably on our technology for the past three years, and we are now delivering the largest solar irrigation project in Europe: a 7.35 MWp plant serving 7,000 ha.
Our ambition is to lead the transition to autonomous irrigation in Europe over the next five years.
