Energy Management Project Engineer

Bamboo Energy is a cleantech startup born in Barcelona six years ago. We offer a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud platform to optimize the distributed energy resources in electricity market through Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) and/or Demand Side Management (DSM). Based on our Artificial Intelligence forecasting and optimization models we allow our clients such as energy companies and retailers, energy managers, aggregators, to maximize the economical value of their assets and portfolios while making the energy system more reliable and sustainable. We are a highly skilled and committed team of professionals using deep tech and data to accelerate the energy transition.

Our Project Team is responsible for leading the implementation of the BambooEnergy platform with our clients while assuring high quality customer satisfaction and retention. We are the bridge between our clients and the software development team. We hold design and brainstorming sessions, and we use agile methodologies to assure excellence and timely deliveries.

At Bamboo Energy we love flexible remote work. We usually meet in person at least twice a week in our office in Barcelona, hold project design sessions and have fun lunches together.

As a Energy Management Project Engineer you will get hands-on experience with a technological startup environment. You will manage projects from the product integration and implementation up to day-by-day operations and reporting; as part of our Project Team, you will integrate, implement and roll out the platform and associated services according to the clients use cases and needs with the support of our Tech team. You will perform flexibility audits and studies, propose improvements and new functionalities to be implemented by our Tech team and you will be in continuous communication with our clients and assets owners.

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

●Manage projects from the onboarding of the client to operations, preparing and presenting reports to our clients, capturing their feedbacks to assure customer satisfaction and assuring the quality of the delivery in time.

●Analyse clients and assets portfolios to identify suitable controllable processes providing technical and commercial support.

●Detect improvements of the platform and new functionalities that our clients need, collaborating with our software development team (Tech team).

●Implement tools to facilitate the onboarding of the clients and add value to them.

●Monitoring the correct functioning of the platform to assure the quality of the service delivered.

● Analyze new market opportunities and the competitive landscape.

Essential:

●Master's in energy engineering or similar.

● Knowledge of energy and electricity markets

● Knowledge of energy management systems

●Training and/or skills in project management

● Ability and interest to deliver good quality written reports.

●Good planning & organizational skills.

●Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Advantageous

● Proven experience in electricity and energy markets

● Proven experience in energy management systems

● Experience to lead, track and drive for progress in technical implementation projects.

●Knowledge/understanding of industrial operating system and energy sector.

● Programming languages: Python.

●Experience in start-ups/scale-up companies

●Interest in analyzing and exploring innovative technologies.
