Nice to have

  • Have hands-on development experience or regularly work with code and developer tooling.
  • Know C#,.NET, Rider, ReSharper, Visual Studio, VS Code, or related developer ecosystems.
  • Have marketed AI-assisted development tools or are familiar with modern coding agents and AI developer workflows.
  • Have created technical content such as case studies, tutorials, product videos, demos, technical articles, or developer-focused campaigns.
  • Have experience working directly with developer communities or technical customers, including through webinars, interviews, or customer conversations.

The role

You care about developer tools, clear technical storytelling, and helping software engineers do their best work. You know how to take complex product capabilities and turn them into clear narratives, launches, and campaigns that resonate with a highly technical audience. If you thrive on autonomy, take pride in your technical craft, and want to help shape how.NET developers worldwide view our tools, this role is for you.

Developer tools are changing fast, and how we talk about.NET tools needs to stay grounded, credible, and clear. We need someone who can take ownership of technical product marketing across Rider, ReSharper, and dotUltimate, ensuring our messaging cuts through industry noise and focuses on genuine developer needs.

In this role, you'll dig into products and developer workflows yourself, identify the stories worth telling, and help determine how we bring them to market. You will work closely with Product Managers, software engineers, Developer Advocates, Research, Growth, and other Marketing teams. Decisions here live close to the work - you'll have the autonomy to generate ideas, test new campaign approaches, and shape product messaging without needing permission at every step.

Success means crafting clear, credible product narratives that help.NET developers understand the value of our tools, earning the trust of product and engineering teams, and continuously improving how we bring releases and campaigns to market.

What you'll do

  • Develop clear positioning, messaging, and product stories around Rider, ReSharper, dotUltimate, and related.NET developer experiences.
  • Turn complex technical capabilities and developer workflows into clear content, including launch stories, product pages, blog posts, case studies, video scripts, and campaign assets.
  • Own product and feature marketing for key capabilities, working from product priorities and product manager input to shape developer-facing stories.
  • Coordinate selected release marketing workflows, including planning and producing What's New content and ensuring release stories are accurately represented.
  • Build a deep understanding of.NET developers, their workflows, customer needs, market trends, and community conversations to shape priorities and campaigns.
  • Develop and execute developer-focused campaigns around important product bets, defining the audience, message, channels, assets, and measures of success.
  • Extend product stories beyond release day through follow-up content, campaigns, customer stories, and amplification.
  • Measure the performance of launches, content, and campaigns, share what we learn, and adjust our approach when needed.
  • Help tell the evolving story of professional developer tools as AI changes how software is built, including workflows involving agents and code intelligence.
  • Contribute hands-on by writing articles, testing features, building briefs, editing landing pages, and capturing product visuals directly on demo projects.
