The PARADISUS Fuerteventura Hotel needs to hire a Waiter/Waitress.  

Your mission will be to provide correct, attentive, and courteous service, always meeting quality standards and paying special attention to customer service, ensuring that food and beverages are presented correctly in order to guarantee guest and customer satisfaction, earning their recognition and preference for the Hotel's services.

Main responsibilities

  • Perform and ensure compliance with the instructions of your direct supervisor regarding tasks and duties assigned before and at the end of your shift.
  • Verify that you have all the necessary equipment and supplies to provide service to the rooms and handle them properly to avoid breakage, waste, and shortages.
  • Participating in the “briefings” at the start of each shift to receive information about daily specials, shortages, VIPs, groups, general comments, and to exchange opinions.
  • Offer consistently a friendly and respectful attitude to guests when delivering services in their rooms, always maintaining an impeccable posture and presentation.
  • Service must be fast and correct, following the SOP of your position, ensuring that your interventions are timely.
  • Before taking the service, you ensure that the order corresponds to the room and to the client's specifications and requests.
  • Perform the service setups according to the established quality and presentation standards, verifying that all products, such as cutlery, salt shakers, napkins, sauces, dressings, etc., are included.
  • Handle services with extreme care to avoid any accidents, spills, or breakages, always complying with safety standards.
  • Immediately remove any item or food that the client does not like; if it is something simple, return it to the kitchen, but if it is of greater importance, inform your immediate supervisor.
  • Present the bill to the customer, strictly complying with the established procedures for payment, depending on the payment method.
  • You arrive punctually for your duties and comply with the hotel's policies and procedures regarding discipline, presentation, schedules, transit areas, and safety standards.
  • Attend department meetings and continuously participate in the training scheduled for your position.

What we are looking for: 

Availability to work night shifts, as we offer 24-hour service and need to cover the shift from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Training suited to the position (Vocational Training, specialization courses, etc.). Teamwork skills, proactivity towards excellence, dynamism, and organization, as well as experience in hotels with an MICE component.

Intermediate English level.

Clear customer and detail orientation.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position or 2 years as a waiter assistant.
