General Manager - Pre Opening, 5-Star Luxury Hotel

We are seeking a visionary, sophisticated, analytic and hands-on General Manager who sees this as a long-term life project. The GM will be responsible for leading all pre-opening activities, building the team, setting the culture, and ensuring the hotel opens successfully with strong brand positioning and commercial performance.

• Lead all pre-opening activities, including recruitment, training, budgeting, and operational setup.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure a successful launch and long-term profitability.
• Build and inspire a high-performing team aligned with brand values and service excellence.
• Oversee all departments: Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR, Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, local regulations, and sustainability goals.
• Establish strong relationships with ownership, brand representatives, and local stakeholders.
• Drive guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results.

• Opportunity to lead the opening of a 5-star luxury hotel on the Costa del Sol.

• Proven experience as General Manager in luxury and ultra-luxury hospitality.
• Previous experience in hotel openings is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in international hotel chains.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially savvy with a deep understanding of P&L and revenue management.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (additional languages a plus).
• Culturally aware, elegant, and service-oriented.
• Strong relational skills.
• Able to handle the complexity of a large-scale resort (230+ rooms).
• Collaborative and humble leadership style.
• Experience working with ownership structures.
